Seminars on Cheese-making and Cheese-agingCoRFiLaC, Consorzio di Ricerca sulla Filiera Lattiero Casearia, is a dairy consortium which, from its beginning, has conducted studies on historical cheeses, especially on the Sicilian ones, on the values and on the culture of rural communities, in order to develop strategies exalting Man and his values at the centre of the rural civilization, strengthening the role of tradition, biodiversity and environment in the civil society. The seminars will have a formative value for the women being part of the Project, and, in addition, it will represent an opportunity for the promotion of Sicilian territory, historical cheeses and the techniques utilised for their production. The presence of world-famous cheese-makers, experts of Animal Production and Animal Nutrition, will give a value added to the event. These experts will come mainly from Africa, Middle East and India and, therefore, they have a deep knowledge of local needs of these countries.
